I was recently at a dealer and saw two 250r's. The first an 88' was a full on racer suspension, pipes piston,ect. It was 4,600. The next was an 89' it had pipes, hand guards, reeds, and holeshots. It was 2,999.99. Which is better for the money? I would mostly be racing mx, and the first one looked like a pro machine.

 

If you can get an 89 for less than $3000 BUY IT!! You can resell it for a lot more if its a decent machine.
Out here, if you can even FIND an 89 for sale, they're usually well over $4500.
