Default not reving high

my last post was about my quad stalling. It doesnt do that anymore. its starts up with ease. but now I have come across another problem...i cant rev my quad past 1/4 of the way or unless it starts making rumbling noises then shuts off. to me it almost sounds as if the kill switch is being turned on. but im not sure. I HAVE TRIE EVERYTHING WITH THIS THING. Replys for me would be awesome.

If it has a choke make sure its off and make sure the petcock (gas valve) is on. To me it sounds like its lean threw the middle and top end not getting enough fuel, but just like zoom said i haven't read your other post of problems

yeah the choke is off and the gas is on. My other posts had to deal with my carb but I had to clean that and the jets out because of gelled gas. but when you pin the throttle it sounds like its not getting enough air. i don't know how because its a straight tube going to the carb.

Did you put fresh gas in? Almost sounds like you have water in the gas. You didn't use water to clean the carb, right? I was about to go riding with some guys once, and one of their quads was running exactly how you described. I took the carb off, and most of the gas dumped out but I noticed the "gas" that was left in the carb was beading. He had told me that him and another friend had cleaned the carb, and it was really clean on the outside. I jokingly asked him if they just washed it with water in a bucket. He said "Yeah." and I started laughing and looked at him, and he was completely serious. I cleaned it proper and adjusted it and the thing ran awesome. He actually said that it had never run that good since he had owned it. A little proper maintainance and adjustment goes a long way.
By the way, did you ever replace the plug?

I'm assuming you don't ride a Cannondale like the one in your avatar, or we wouldn't be talking about carbs, correct? What machine do you have and give us a little background info......thanks.
