250x tires

what would be the best tire out there for my 1991 250x.Right now it's got 22-11-9 chevron on the rear and carlisle 4-max on the front.I WAS ALSO WONDERING IF YOU GUYS COULD HELP ME WITH SOME MODS TO MAKE IT GO FASTER.
