first of all you'd want to wait after the elections to even think about actually releasing that quad, cause you know for sure if Gore wins u wouldn't ever need to think about even riding it anywhere, but to tell the truth i think Honda is going to release something to tackle the Raptor and Ds650, you know this for a fact cause the evergrowing big bore war isn't going to die off anytime soon, and to say that you know whats coming out or what its going to be is a bunch of (your input) cause you know Honda keeping everything private to a low profile, just my opinion so dont go jumping at me because what i think cause everyone in America has freedom of speach

The XR650 makes 50 hp stock.A 650 2stroke would be a sweet machine, lots of people ride 650 snowmobiles and don't get killed.I know it won't happen but a 650r would be an amazing machine!!!

Snowmobiles also don't hook up like atvs with is why they have such big engines. Other wise they would flip the front end over backwords all the time.

the problem with honda is, sure the quads are really reliable, but it takes so long to make em and by the time they do get the quad on the showroom floor yamaha already has a new bigger quad out there. Take the 400ex for example it came out and then a few months later bombardier came out with the ds650 and now the 660r came out. Honda has to figure out a way to keep up there reliability but make the in a faster time.

What ever happened to the EXP two stroke technology that they were developing?

your probably right, I can't imagine Honda putting their new liquid cooled 650 in a quad for whatever reason? Of course the air cooled 600ex would be most excellent.

Then how do you explain the pavement dragsters??Atvers are viewed as lazy inexpierienced people, and thats why there will be no 250R or let alone a 650R, it has nothing to do with traction.

I heard the same rumor. I was told Honda was going to release a 650EX didn't say liquid or air cooled, but a 4-stroke. And also a bigger version of the new 250EX as a 350ex shaft drive.

i agree this would be an awesome machine...but i had the same idea. take the xr650r engine and throw it into a 400ex frame. if i can do it, honda should be able to do the same and that way they would same alot of time.
