I have a 300 EX and was wondering if anyone ever hopped one up? Im talking with real modifications. I think it would be cool to pull up at the sand drag with a 300 EX and have everyone laugh to themselves then get smoked. Currently I have a jet kit, K&N and a Pipe. What else can I do to this small pup? Programmable ignition?

P.S. Has anyone seen a 300 EX run with 400s?

 

There was an article back when in one of the mags, and they had a 300 that would easily smoke a stock 400. Not sure if I still have it, but I will try to scare it up if I can.

The 300 is maybe the best tight trails bike of all time. Wish I still had mine!

 

I got someone coming look at it today to buy it, but if he dont buy it then im going to fix it up to smoke 400s.

A 300ex bored and stoked to 352, will eat up a 400ex. I have lost that race. Powroll sells the 352. I have seen bigger(39?)cc, but I don't know where those are from.

You can also put a 350x motor in the frame and those can go to almost 500cc's.

 

I think the biggest you can go on a 250x/300ex motor is around 406. But I have a friend with a 1999 300ex with a 330 kit and H/P piston and it runs real strong.

 

Anybody got any race statistics on these 330ex s? Im 22 188 lbs, I should probably just sell it and get a 400 ?

 

FST makes a 380/390 kit for the 300ex. FST

 

Dont waste your money on it. Get anything else. It will be much cheaper. Back in the 90's it was common practice.Now its just pointless.

 

That is the first time I have seen that site. I think I need $745, for that stroker kit.

 

Yeah but it's going to be a lot more money for other parts and labor.
