Top speed of 400EX?
#11
everyone is assuming you won't hit the rev limiter. If you do hit the rev limiter just running stock then it doesn't matter what exhaust, compression ratio, carb size, porting, or boring you have. Top speed is based on your RPM, gear ratios, sprocket ratios, and rear tire size.

I am wondering what the max RPM is on a 400ex? I hear it's either 9100 or 8250. I'm making an Excel Spreadsheet to do speed calculations.
Right now, assuming stock gearing and you hit the rev limiter in 5th, the 400ex will hit 75 MPH (120 km/h).
I also want to know if anybody knows the gear ratios of the new 400ex as well as the 450r.
Thanks,
