You would be better off going with a polaris than another honda. The 450's are junk (powerless). They have 50cc's more than the z400s and can just barely beat them, that is sad.

LOL, the predator cant beat any of the 450's stock, and it has 50 MORE cc's. But I'm not going to be ignorant and say that's sad, because I understand the differences in engine design and tuning between them.

I understand your situation 1BAD, I had the same decision to make a few years ago. I had the option to buy back one of our old R's that was in great shape, or purchase a new machine. I had been a honda man all my life, but then the 400 couldnt compete with the big bores and I opted for a new yamaha. I love my raptor, but I miss my R. Good luck with it and keep us updated on the new purchase. If you do hold off though, and arent completely tied to another Honda, then I'd see what the zuki 450 has up its sleeve.

I'll let you guys know what happens. What Im thinkin' about now is not getting another bike till I graduate college. Im moving out into my own place and $ won't be growing on trees, so a little extra green in the bank will feel good. I'll probably buy an LT-R 450 next year. That way Suzuki will have had a whole year to work out any bugs. By that time I'll have a good job, and I can build the bike I want and won't have to settle for less. A Quadracer with a Yoshi pipe, nerfs, and Hiper-carbons with 20" rear tires is the bike I see in the future. I guess I'll be out of the game for a year. I'll still frequent the forumns.....I just wont be able to talk trash about having a better bike than anyone till next year!

Sorry it took me a while to respond to this. The DS is my fathers. He actually just sold it and my 'lil bros Blaster last night. My bro got the new Z400 on my pics page, and my dad is either going to get a Raptor 700R or an LT-R450 when they come out. I actually thought about buying his DS from him, but that plan got sorta shut down last night when the guy drove away with it...

I'm thinking of doing something with my 250R as well. I was thinking YFZ, 450R or Raptor 700. Not sure if I could bring myself to ride Suzuki. Thoughts????

I was thinking about selling my 250 also, but I started looking around, and did not see another that was just as good in my area. So I will keep my R and try and sell the 400. I am looking into a 450 also, but have not made my mind up.

Man I would try and just save money and keep the R. Maybe dont ride it as much, it will last longer between rebuilds. THat is what I am doing. The 250R is a bad quad, I have not rode a bike better yet. I have rode them all except the Suzuki 400 and the waiting 450.

Good luck.

LOL.. yea i will need more than a fast quad.. maybe the 26 years of experience riding might help
but its a nice quad, you should keep it and save up for the 450R. im all 2 stroke and need a 4 so i am modding my 2 bikes then will work on buying the 450R. i dont think anyone should just have one bike..
