All of our parts are in. Yeah! I am taking it in on Monday to get it piped & jetted. I will ask the parts guy about what you have and see what he says. Sure he will say oh yeah get that too. lol. What else would be good to add to it?

Glad to see that everyone that has one is very pleased. My husband is most concerned with the sportclutch/shaft drive setup. Is the hand clutch an override? or just there for looks?
I'll be picking up my Daughters 250ex tomorrow morning. My son can't wait to take over Her Kasea 90.
Finally, all 5 of us will be riding together!

the "clutch" lever on the 250ex is actually an alternate rear brake lever. and they are very nice to have for newbies. it allows u to keep both feet firmly planted on the pegs at all times.

???? I have been using my clutch on my 250ex as just that a clutch? The sales guy told me that you do not have to use the clutch, but it would be good to so I get familiar w/ one? I have been using it as a clutch and my rear brakes have not kicked in when I use it? The sales guy said the nice thing about the sportsclutch is that the bike will not stall on you like it would w/ a regular clutch????

The sportclutch is only on the 06. They may have been talking about the 05s and older, which didn't have the sport clutch.

it's done! we are official owners of a 250ex (well our son is)! It's an 01 so we miss out on the sportclutch and the suspension changes for the 06s but that's ok...got a great deal!

now...let's ride!

(hey...we're almost an 'all red' family!)

The Turtle,
I was not familiar w/ the older models. I was riding w/ a girl who has a 03 or 04 on Sunday and she too had a rear brake where my clutch is. Guess that is another one of the changes they made for the 06. I like it because I have never had anything w/ a cluth before so it is certainly helping me learn for the next one. I'll have it down when I get that 700 Raptor next. LOL.
