My 250x is only about a month old to me. It ran great for the first two weeks then it became hard to start. I know I was having a problem getting fuel. Since then I have cleaned out the fuel shut off valve and don't think that is the problem. Typically I can start it about every 2-3 days when it fires up first kick. once it is started, it runs fine and i can start it again as long as it is warm. the day after i can try forever and it acts like it should start, but doesn't. I have tried starting fluid and still nothing. I need help! anyone ever had this happen? any ideas?

I had trouble like that and it turned out to be the CDI. But before you do that try cleaning your fuel tank and the carb.

 

Next time its having trouble starting, pull out the spark plug and check for spark. If you have spark, then you either have a compression problem or a fuel problem.
