Seriously though, something that when you get stuck in a big mudhole or water or whatever... you push a button and a raft or something pops out and floats you to the edge.

How about a real high performance 4wd quad............drive shafts and in and out of 4wd...TRX or YFZ.....4wd and shafts, now that would be awesome!!

Yamaha tried it in 88' - Clicky. In fact, my father-in-law has one. He bought it new in '88 and has riden it just about every day since then on the farm. It is also used to mow with the 48" finish mower. The dang thing rides like a board, but it keeps on going. He just discovered it had an oil filter 3 years ago if that tells you anything.

I don't know if it didn't sell well or if they had problems with it, but I think it was onlt made for one year.

 

A PTO with attachments on a true Utility quad would make a lot of sense. Seems like something the John Deere (Bombardier) Traxters would do well with.
I would also like to see a small power steering pump added to Utility 4 wheelers. Everyone wants them to steer better.

 

Actually I kinda like the shotgun idea for a$$holes but a front & rear one in case you miss them coming still have a shot going.

Part of the problem is that the attachments are expensive (at least they were for the TerraPro) and unless they standardized on an attachment system, they are not interchangable. For now, I think it makes more sense to have attachments self-powered so you can move them from quad to quad.

 

I was hoping a few would fess up that they really wished they purchased a Suzuki Samari instead. Actually, I think the Samari now weighs less than 2 of the utes. [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif[/img]
