Help with 400ex Not starting too cold?

Default Help with 400ex Not starting too cold?

Another key with any bike with a battery is be sure to keep it on a battery tender charger when not in use. Most bike shops sell a battery charger that puts out low amps (2 or less) and will turn itself on and off as needed. Your starter will crank over less before the motor fires- less fowled spark plugs and a battery that lasts alot longer.

when mine dosent start when its cold i jsut hook it up to the truck and pull start it usaly takes liek 50 feet and its runnin liek a champ

Mine is an '04 and it starts o.k. in the cold. If the temps fall below 20 degrees, it's a real pain.

my 03 starts fine in 15 f and it hase a rev box and a K&N air filter without changing the jets
