Default Help with 400ex Not starting too cold?

Whats up. I have a 2001 400ex. It runs fine, was just using it on the street yestuday. I started it up today and it ran fine. I was outside all day so about 4 hours later i tried to start it again, and it did not run. Made sure the gas was on, choke was on and everything. Its about 30 degrees F here. Is it too cold? Im going upstate riding this week so i need to know if its just too cold or is it something else? When im cranking it, it cranks fine, no weird sounds at all. Thanks

The mixtures do get leaner as the temperature falls.
But if it sat for 3 hours, and now wont start...it could be a few things.
Sometimes holding the throttle at a steady 1/4 open, choke on and crank , will get it started if its really cold.. If it doesnt start after a few tries, try a new spark plug.
If its not too cold on the rider, its not too cold for the quad.

Also check to make sure the plug wire coming off the coil is pushed onto the coil all the way.For some reason thats was the problem with mine once and I never even touched it.Pushed it on tight and it fired up after a couple cranks and I have my choke taken out.Im also in cold weather being in upstate NY.

Good Luck

Hey guys whats up. It was the sparkplug. It was all full with carbon. I cleaned it off with a file, gapped it right, and it started right up. Thanks for the suggestions.
