Default TRX OTE Fourtrax Recon ES

My ATV will only start with the choke pulled out. When it has had enough time to warm up, I push the choke in and it dies. It will not run unless the choke is pulled out. Any suggestion. It is a 2002 and does not have more than 50 hours on it. Thanks

Carb needs to be taken apart and cleaned. That little use in that amout of time, likely gas has gummed up the jets, cleaning it should fix the problem

Yep, and to be more specific....its the pilot jet which is plugged.
The deposits come from the carb float bowl being left full off gas. The vent in the carb will allow the gas to evaporate, and then the float lets more in, and the cycles goes on, and the solids and crud and varnish, condense and end up plugging the smallest passageway...which is the pilot jet.
To stop this from happening again, dont use ethenol blended fuels(try to use pure gas only), and when youre done riding the quad...shut off the gas at the tank, and run the motor til it dies. This will leave the float bowl empty, and there wont be anymore plugged jets.
