The YFZ comes out with the Dual OVerhead Cam and 5 valve, i just wanted to know why didnt Honda do the same and go with this newer technology?? Is there any reason, wouldnt it have made the TRX a better machine??

 

Honda has been pushing this unicam thing for a bit now. Maybe they were looking for lighter weight, lower c.g., or just simplicity, but this is the way they are going for now. I really don't think there engine is at a huge disadvantage or anything in everyday applications. Unless they start getting killed in the HP wars, I don't see any major changes in the future.
