Time to get 1st atv. Had mind made to get Honda foreman es 4x4. However after reading various posts I,m concerned about water and shifting issues. Salesmen say its never been a problem. Servicemen say if riding in water and mud there have been problems. So now think I,ll get the foreman s and eliminate the electric junk, then they tell me if the shift fork ever gets bent(as I have no idea how hard that is) on the manual shift the whole tranny has to come completly out to fix that. They were nice enough to tell me that was very expensive! Use is strictly for hunting. Right now duck/goose lease is flooded rice fields w/ about 8" of water and lots of mud. Depending on weather some days these machines come out clean, other days their really nasty. Heard good/bad about other atv's but honda sounds to be most durable by most. Want something not scared of the nasty stuff. For price, what about suk. vinson? About best deal on foreman OTD is around $6700 here in houston area. If anyone around south or east tx. knows of good dealer let me know. Opinions appreciated as I'm way overdue for atv. Just ask my huntin buddies!

You might get a better overall response if you were to post this in the "Utility" section.
I absolutely love my Vinson. OTD for $6800 with Warn winch and 60" plow (minus $3000 for a 2000 Foreman 450ES with 3200 miles).

With any purchase you might consider the availability of service. In my area there are 3 dealerships but only two provide service. Arctic Cat/Vinson and Honda...........We opted for the Rubicon because of other owners recomendations and several trial rides. We have been very happy with the machines. A friend has owned a Vinson for about 2 years and has had no trouble at all other than a starting problem and that was resolved immedietely. He has been patiently waiting for us to have a problem with the Rubicons. Mine has become hard to start..........I accused him of sabotage.....Larry Cribbs
