Before I purchased my Rancher I did alot of reading about the quad, and was lead to beleive the exaust header pipe and muffler were stainless steel. Well today I was talkin to a Buddy that has a 450 and had to replace his muffler because the baffles came loose inside. He informed me that only the very back piece of the muffler and the pieces around the mounting holes are stainless. When I got home I took a magnet to mine and he was right. Was anyone else under the same impression?

Not all grades of stainless are non-magnetic - so not sure that the magnet test is proof positive!
