Everyone put here what you have experienced/ heard of problems with the 450r

 

Don't ask what people have "heard", because all you will get is a bunch of misinformation!

I have had absolutely no problems. Love the machine. You must be very diligent about maintenance!

 

I would narrow the question to 2004/2005 or more specific to the 2006.

For the 2006, the electric start model doesn't turn over all that quickly but does manage to fire it up. I've heard of this problem and I have experienced this problem. I am going to determine if it is a weak battery (the battery is smaller than a 400ex battery) or if it is the starter. Or perhaps it is an issue with decompression.
