Default Reverse Switch???

Anybody ever tried to convert their reverse cable from the brake handle to a twist **** switch like on the Yamaha Raptor on their standard shift Foremans?I'm sure most people don't think its enough hassle to worry with but it just seems like it would be much quicker and easier.I have a Raptor where the reverse switch is just a **** you twist when in neutral then you just down shift. It seems so much quicker.Sometimes if i'm in a tight spot with my Foreman and I have to go from forward to reverse several times it can be a little irritating.
Again this may be a stupid question to some but I just thought i'd ask.
Thanks,
JE

well that mechanism is just a cable that you need to pull, im gettting pretty irataded on how difficult it is also. a guy could fabricate a choke lever type thing or simular, doesent need to be perfect. its gets really difficult sometimes when you have to use two hands to operate

What I did was to take a small finishing nail and pushed down the button and stuck the nail in the small hole in it so that it keeps the button down all the time. Now all I have to do is pull the brake lever to be able to shift into reverse!

PM me if you want to know how to bypass the reverse procedure completely. Just shift directly down from neutral to reverse. Of course, you have to make sure you're completely stopped. Also, you may not want to let other people drive your bike since they may not be aware of the bypass. Anyway, the option is there.

hmm.. the choke idea would actually work.. just buy a new choke pull.. and place the wire in there somehow.. and make sure it pulls it enough.. and ti would be a great idea.. very handy actually.. i want to see a company start making them and selling them..

if had the cover off to actually see what that cable does and it doesent need to by pulled all that much, plus there is adjustment on the cable down on the engine. the problem is to make it reliable and convinment

All you need is a tie wrap.
Push button, pull brake, put tie wrap around the part that moves to hold it out.
