Sport bikes can go just as many places.

Deep mud and water no...

but trails, i hit some really rocky, rutted trails with my 300ex, and have no troubles.

Just have to know how to ride

you'll be suprised what you can do......anything but really deep mud....as far as climbin and stuff.... I'll go anywhere a 4x4 will go.....awhile back while ridin the trails in arkansas me and my friend were ridin around hittin all these jumps gettin air and this guy on a rancher was like "do ya'll do all these trails on those things" we were like "ummmm yea why?" so what I'm sayin is we can fly around and hit jumps and still make it through all the trails that the 4x4 guys ride.....while he has to roll real slow over the jumps.....you wouldn't be dissapointed at all by gettin a sport quad............

I have a 400EX and can get through just about anything, but if you want a 4x4 get a Wolverine. You can't get stuck with it and I have beaten Warriors and 300EXs with it. Great suspension and very fast for a 4x4.

I have a 300EX and I go most places the utilites go but be prepared to move around on the quad more because the front end is lighter. Sports push more when steering at speed and you must get your weight as far foward as you can when climbing steep hills. I learned all this the hard way. I started out following a friend on a utility and since we were riding in an area he was familiar with but I was not, I took clues as to what was ahead by watching his body. You guessed it!. He could climb a hill sitting still while I would flip over and roll down the hill on my head. I learned to use my body weight to my advantage. With this in mind I have few problems.

Yeahhhhhhhhhh!!!!

I jump my Honda 300 4x4 all the time. I impress people everyday. They can't believe what I can do on my Honda. Jumping, wheelies, riding on two wheels, and hear this, wheelies in reverse. Yup, thats right. Wheelies in reverse. I but that something new.

i rode a foreman 400 a while ago ang that only had more ground clearence than my 250r. as for mud I either go around ,cause i hate getting muddy, straddle it with its 50" wide foot print or if its that sticky crap I use 20x12x8 black waters and a skid plate, lean back and pin it. i've only been stuck one time on it and it was because of ground clearence....i was going through a pit and on my way to the next one I got hung up on a log and buried the back end. If I put 25" riers on it and geared it down really low I could go any where.

It's the same here a sport bike would not survive these boulder and stump infested trail,I also never ran into a sport quad. The closest I have see is my friends 300 Kawi. Lakota and he has to stop many times to pry his rear sprocket gard away from his chain after hitting a object on the ground. When he rides he is always zig-zaging down the trail looking for that easy path on the trail it looks like a drag thing to do after a few miles.
