I was just wondering if anyone knows were the needle is on the 400ex carb(I need to move the clip down a notch)and whats the easiest way to get to it.

It is on the top of the carb where that metal plate is with 3 screws

 

I hate to sound like an idiot(too late)but I have the top plate with the 3 screws off and I still dont see the needle or how you would get to it and move the clip.

Do you have a manual, if so it says right in there. If not, my manual says it is under the throttle valve( the thing with 3 screws),remove the valve arm set screw, and then remove the 2 screws and valve arm. It is under there. I hope this didn't complicate any thing. If it did e-mail me your # and I will call, and explain it to you, since I live WA too.

Dont worry about it,I was able to get it figured out,I realyy just wanted to see if the dealer moved the clip down a notch after doing the 440 setup,which they told me they did but they didnt.
