Glad to see all the replies to this topic, but i see no use for the name calling ,but maybe that is the level you are on. As for minimum wage topic, no i am not talking about myself, but there are hundreds of thousands of people that rely on that McD's job to pay for things. Sorry not everyone one is in the upper class like some you (EDIT)! I am working for minimum wage and i care, but i am only 16. Both my parents said they are going to vote for gore even after i told them about the evironmentilist part of it. They said that there are more important things than that. I don't think it will affect us much up here if Gore gets elected, all the land i ride on belongs to a rich coal miner that lets people ride on it.

 

But calling someone Pumpkin head is not bashing?

 

If you being outdoors, riding quads, hunting, snowmobiling, etc. Then there is only one logical choice.

Why do you care about minimum wage ? I would imagine that we all worked for minimum wage at one time. Then we grew up, and got an education or learned a skill. We didn't depend on the government to feed us.

 

I don't get it. If you hunt , own guns, have kids in school, or own an ATV the answer is Bush. And the minimum wage thing is BS every time it's raised it hurts middle class !! When minimum wage goes up do you get a raise ? NO, But inflation goes up doesn't it. Gore is a joke he can't even tell the truth . Raising the minimum wage is the equivelent to lowering everyone else's wage. It also lowers the amount of those types of jobs available, which are the only jobs some folks are capable of & the only jobs available for a lot of teens just getting their first taste of making a little part time cash.

Fact is: if you are making minimum, you have no one to blame but yourself, ESPECIALLY in this day and age.

As far as social security, I SERIOUSLY doubt it will go away under Bush, that's just rhetoric spewed by liberals during every election. I do, however like the idea of keeping some of that money myself, to invest myself - the govt has done a pretty poor job with it so far.

A vote for Gore is a vote for less freedom, and more dependance on govt & the failures it calls programs. The poor should be especially insulted by the liberal's attempts at assistance that generally makes them even more dependant on the govt & taxpayers.

I pity you and the other weak minded individuals (that fall for the same rhetoric every election) that are making this a close race. It will truly be a sad day if Gore wins this...
