well guys, i lost my key to my rancher and now i am **** out of luck. how do you guys suppose i go about getting a new one. how will honda know to make me a new key that works? has this ever happened to any of you guys here?

 

if u go to the dealer and give them ur vin number and proof that u own the quad then they'll get u a new one but if not then u either gotta learn how to hot-wire or get a new ignition box. good luck!

 

If you get a new key for a honda dealer they dop`nt garentt that it will work, and a new igintion can cost a lot

 

yea but its the only way. before u do anything make sure u search for the key long and hard. the day before i was gunna go to the dealer to get a new key my mom found it sumwhere in a kitchen cabinit way up high by the ceiling. check every place u can... car... work.... house..... ask ur family if they've seen it around the house... behind furniture.... anywhere. good luck

 

Pull the ignition switch. There should be a code on the switch housing. That is a key cutting code for that switch. Take that code to the dealer and they should bang one out in a few minutes.

I did this on my Raptor.
