What year did they start putting black front fenders on the 300ex's

This is a little off topic, but can I still buy original HONDA 250R plastic?DOES anyone know? I am rebuilding a '86& it needs new plastic..was thinking about red ..can you interchange years?

 

Yes, you can still get original 250R plastic. It's not cheap. You can put any year/color you want on any year R. Seat latches and stuff changed, but all you have to do is mount the hardware. If you want the 88-89 style headlight on a 86-87 you'll have to buy that stuff and I don't know if it's readily available.
