I've gone through 2 sets of axle bearings. The originals lasted from '95 when i bought it, until the summer of 98, when they were examined, and found to be completely destroyed. The new bearings only lasted until this summer, a few years less than the stocks. Is there any reason why they wear out so quickly, and is this normal.

Do u do any super swamping? ride through deep water etc. Water will eventualy break down the bearings it getts trapped in the axel carrier and corodes the bearings. Make sure u use a marrine grade grease this might help in keep your bearings a little longer.

Also how is the chain and sprockets? I just bought a 250x and the chain was never tightened and the axel bearings we rusted riding the bike like this caused the chain to streach sideways so i had to replace the chain and sprockets and tightend the rotor and rear sprocket holders
