400ex suspension

Default 400ex suspension

I would like to put suspension on my 400ex but Im on a budjet. What is the cheapest suspension I can get but is still pretty good.

cheapest...works shocks i don't know about being pretty good i hear there new shocks are pretty nice though

search atvriders or ebay for some stock 450r shocks, those are much better than what you have, but not up to Elka standards, or probably even Works, just much cheaper and you will gain some handling.

Also, consider a steering dampner. The ones under $180 (pep, denton), this makes a HUGE difference in handling, epecially when combined with suspension. these babies are way underrated.

I agree. Look for some OEM 450r shocks.

Will 450R shocks bolt right up to a stock 400EX?

From what I've read, you will need to grind the top of the shock slightly for clearance, and they will bolt right up.

I didn't grind anything, they bolted with no modifications.
