Let me root around and see if I have Dennis Packards ph. # Packard Enterprises builds the fastest Pilot hybrid motor out there. They WILL spank the Pro-X motors, but they tend not to be as reliable. It's more of a dune hillrace type set-up. Although he can build you just about anything that you would want.

www.ftzracing.com this will point you in the right direction. PSI does the same thing except with what I think is a polaris cylinder. joe byrd runs the PSI in open quad pro. it should be reliable.

PSI has been chiefly focused on sleds in the recent years, but now has taken an interest in quads and dirt bikes.
The cylinders that they offer for the 250R were designed with the 250R in mind. I spoke with thier reps at the Snowmobile Expo we recently had here and they were very helpful in answering the questions that I had. The port design is different from that of the Pro-X and stock cylinders. It's a triple exhaust, and in the biggest bores, they have additional aux transfers that dump down in the bottom end via the intake floor.
The cylinder also employs a variable exhaust pressure valve (VEP), the is just a different variant of a "powervalve".
I suspect that these cylinders while pricier than the Pro-X will begin to show up and start posting some impressive runs.
I would look into these as well before trying a pilot hybrid motor.
