First you have to narrow the problem down to the electrical system or the battery itself. Take the battery out or disconnect one of the terminals, and charge it up. Let it sit for 2 or 3 days, hook it back up, and see if it starts or if it's dead. If it starts you have a parasitic drain in your electrical system. My guess though is that it won't start up when you reconnect the battery, and the problem is a bad cell in the battery.

If you have a voltmeter, you can check for the amount the drain is.
Turn the key to off, and dont turn it back on during the test, or you could smoke the meter.
Disconnect the negitive connection on the battery, and put the meter from the battery terminal to the cable (in series). Start the meter in the highest setting for amps, and work you way to the lowest setting. I dont have the specs handy, but it seems to me, if its under 1 miliamps, its in specs. And if thats the case, have the battery load checked.
Its not unheard of, to have a new battery take a dump this quick.

There should be no amp draw w/ the key off on that machine. There is no clock or anything w/ a memory that would require battery voltage w/ the key off. My Fluke meter has a 15 amp fuse in it. I can turn the key on w/ the meter in series w/ the negative cable but if I hit the starter button I'm lucky if it just blows the fuse. W/ the key on, there will be a several amp draw. W/ the key off, it should be zero.
