Im going to be getting +2's and new shocks for my 2001 400ex. Im wondering what should i get axis or elka's? People are saying elka's but im thinking there only saying that becuase everyone has them. But a lot of people who have axis say that they love them. I also want to know lonestar or laegers for the arms? I like lonestar becuase they have the lifetime warrenty. I dont know too much about laegers though. Need a input on these brands. I ride upstate at my friends property, im going to start to go to tracks this year. I also like to go on trails.

One thing to consider is that Elka makes shocks for a variety of different riding styles. Even though woods riders use Axis shocks, they are riding at superhuman speeds. If you rode their quad at a mortal's pace, it would seem too stiff. Axis shocks are not built to be ridden slow or lightly. The more you abuse them and the faster you go, the better they are. The real question is whether or not you can ride at that pace. I can, but maybe for only a couple minutes at a time. Otherwise, I'm moving pretty good, but I'd be a speedbump to them.
