what do u think of a honda 250ex

 

i love my wife's 250ex. its the 06 with sport shift and it is alot of fun. it has enough power to go just about anywhere (both on trails and in the dunes) and it's really fun to ride. reverse and electric start are a bonus and from everything i've read the 250ex is just about bullet proof. it won't be able to keep up with the larger sport quads (raptor, 450s, preddy, etc) but you can still have alot of fun.

 

Superb little machine! Easy to ride, and great for an intermedieate kid or adult beginner, yet an advanced rider will enjoy it as a play bike. Reliable and simple to work on. It is based on the Recon, so it has shaft drive and reaqsonably high ground clearance. It will do anything any 2wd utility will do, and it's a whole bunch lighter!

 

is it faster then a recon

 

Same engine and tranny in a lighter chassis. Yes, it will be faster by a bit.

 

iam 16 and i have a recon

 

We bought my wife a 2006 trx250ex and she likes it but constantly complaines about the lack of power. I told her we should have bought her a 400ex.......

It is an awesome quad for a beginner or for your wife if she is content cruising around and having fun.

We use ours in the high desert and once a year at Glamis. It is stock and it starts and runs perfectly everytime.

If you want to roost or go really fast, look elsewhere.

 

I was wondering if the 06 plastics would fit on a 04.
