When I go riding, which is either here or on hunting land. There's usually about 10-15 of us, about half females. Most of the time 3 of us have sport bikes(2 400ex's & a blaster) and the rest are ranchers and foremans. We have a blast. We'll stop and let them run through the mud and what-not and they'll stop and let us jump stuff etc. He needs to sell that 8000 thing and get a $5000 400ex. I have no problem what-so-ever riding slow or anything. I go through creeks and mud up to the fenders with no problem.

UUUUhh dude you cant make a blaster motor 350cc...Dont they only go to 296cc...I think thats the biggest they make them..so ur not even close

 

My buddy has a Rincon it feels very heavy and hard to manuvuer noone that has ridden it feels it is safe.I think its more about where you are riding and how much experience you have.I feel I could go anywhere a utility could on my 400EX.

 

GoodOleBoy, your buddy just bought the wrong quad for him. You bring up a very valid point though. Everyone should really do some soul searching and be brutally honest with themselves as to what they need/want their quad to do. As a sport quad rider, I avoid mudbogs whenever possible. Then again, I prefer to ride fast and hit jumps, two things that a ute just isn't as well suited for. If your buddy ever figures out his clutch and gets proficient at riding that thing, you may get a surprise as to what the race quads are capable of however.

 

i drive a rancher and go thru every trial and creek i find no problems its all about the driver my friend has a 1989 250r or 250x bored to 279 with a pro 3 wheeler swingarm on back so bike is longer bike is jetted and runs lean but he makes it thru every thing i can and cuts the corners easyer were he can go around stuff i go over it. Its all about knowing your machine and being able to handle it I climb hills that are unmost straight up and down and make them easy and drive sideways on hills. 80% of injurys on quads and uts are when you are showing off. Also a rancher aint a 700 pound bike only a 535 pound bike But im a big guy 6 foot 7 280 pounds or so and i have had girls on back with me climbing hills no problem Just make sure whoever rides with you does not lean back climbing a hill had that happen one time and ended up riding a wheelie up the hill but we made it up it safe.
