I was wondering if there is a difference between a TRX 300 and a TRX 300EX ignition coil? I need to replace the stock coil on my atv and cant find any "decent" ignition coils to buy, but I found a new EX for a cheap price.

 

Either of them is about 48 bucks new, and its posible they would be interchangable, depending on the length of the plug wire...but if they are with in a dollar of each other, its not worth it. One has a removable spark plug cap, and the other doesnt..but that wouldnt keep it from being interchangable.
The 300 is part number 30510 hm5-670
the ex is part number 30510 hf1-670
Now if you can find a coil for alot less...id give it a try.

 

I found 3 coils. #1 is $25 + ?? shipping, #2 $15+ $10 shipping, #3 $25+ $10 shipping.
