Default Thinking of New Rincon???

And what is the right way? I think most people are misunderstood about break in procedures. While you break it in ride it hard. If you ride it hard you will get more power and reliability out of it in the long run. Dont putz around on it or the rings will not seat right. Do alot of wide open runs but just dont run at high speeds for long periods. If you drive it lightly from the beginning the rings will not seat right and you will get blowby past the rings and not get the full performance of the motor. It is a proven fact that if you ride it like you stole it from the beginning it will run better, stronger and more reliable.

My idea of breaking in an atv is the same way to break in a new car. Break it in the same way you plan on riding it. But like 2manytoys said, get on the throttle, but don't keep it pegged to long. But if you're going to ride hard, break it in that way. If your are going to put-put around, then break it in that way. Did I hit that about right?

I agree with the break in. That whole half throttle for the first so many hours is BS.

The final test for these engines at the factory is to fill them with oil and red line them.

Last two quads I bought the first thing I did was open them up wide open for a few seconds, slow down, then open it up again all the way, then slow down etc......repeat this for a few miles. The first 10 miles are the most crucial. I'd then suggest changing your oil after the first couple of hours of riding.
