Jet the carb. You can get anywhere from 5 to 20% more power out of your engine if you do it right. I know a friend who did it to his atv and got 10 more hp.

Ok how does he know he got 10 more HP.
How much money are you willing to spend on your rancher?
How much would it be to trade it in for a 500 foreman or rubicon?

Pretty simple, my friend has a dyno machine that test it. Its not the more accurate piece of equipment but it gives us a ballpark idea. As for jetting your carb you can do it your self or bring it to a dealer. Its not that hard, I suggest you buy a jet kit which will have detialed instuctions on how to do it. I do have to warn you though you may need to adjust it for peek performacing when riding in considerable tempature changes.

Just rejetting a stock motor with no other mods will get you about a 0% gain. They are jetted properly from the factory. And if you don't know what your doing it's more then likely you will hurt power and not help it and could end up sending your motor into early retirement. Even if you where to buy a pipe, filter and rejet it properly your not going to see much of a gain let alone ten horse power... what's a rancher have from the factory like 20 horse...you doubled the horsepower by rejetting it, come on who is going to believe that ?

Your pretty much stuck with what you got.
