I think they are a little different, but work the same way. It is true there are no gears in the rubicon, but what the esp does is keep the "plate" in the same place so get constant power.

Is 1st on the rubicon in the esp mode as low as on the 450?Im thinking of maybe getting a rubicon after the first of the year, and trying to get all the info I can on it.I use the super low on my 450es all the time working around the farm, like spraying fence rows and alot of towing.I would really like to test drive one,but none of the dealers around my area will let you.And I did know the rubicon didnt have gears,I should have said are there speed ratios close to the same. Thanks for the info.

I also am going to get a rubicon next spring. I have just put up a topic ****Rubicon Owners***** I.m trying to get as much info as possible. One guy who responded to mine said the power is incredible. In the low mode he said when punch it front wheels will come up.. If this is true i would say you should have no problems with hauling heavy stuff around.
