After installing everything I went to hook the cables to the battery and the bolt wasn't long enough to tighten back down. My question is does anyone know where to get bolts that are a little bit longer and fit the nut that is underneath in the battery already? Thanks. By the way installing the winch was a chore for me, wow.

 

Can you attach the cable for the winch where the other end of the battery cable terminates?

Otherwise, shouldn't be harder to find a longer bolt.

 

Put something under the nut. At the shop, we take a zip tie and cut a piece about 3/4". Fold it in half and stick it under the nut. When the bolt is out, the nut is at the top of the battery post and you can easily add an extra cable or two to the battery posts.

 

Thanks for the tip "1988TRX250R". It helped me out a bunch, worked just like you said it would. Finally got it all buttoned up this afternoon, works great, now I just have to find some mud and see if I can get stuck to test it out.
