2004 Rancher manual shift 4x4, It feels like my bike goes into neutral sometimes like when I'm in 2nd or 3rd after I let off the gas it doesn't grab like normal, you know you hear the motor rev down sometimes it doesn't do it. It like goes in neutral and I have to get on the brakes hard to slow me down. What the hell?

 

My recon would do that sometimes too, mostly going down hills in lower gears. It did it when it was like new, and it did it 4 years later when I sold it, even after I got a kevlar clutch installed in it.

Maybe try pulling the lever up about half way to disengage the clutch, then release it. That might make it engage for you, it did for mine.
