Is zero preload a better way to have ashock set-up for hard riding & jumping quads?

DS650DAVE,
From everything that I've heard and read, ZPS is great for racing. I was told that it keeps the wheels on the ground better.

From what I understand the stadium series are in fact Works version ZPS shocks. Now, what I do know is that ZPS style shocks have 1 real purpose and that is for the quad to sit lower at rest. This means that you are lower to the ground for cornering. The ZPS are stiffer even though they have full travel when jumping, they compress stiffer once you get past the rest point so they do not bottom out. I spent alot of time on the phone with Works and I love them. I had them set up so that I can swap 2 springs and then they are zps height. A stock 400ex Works shock has 10.5" travel and it is supposed to sag 3", with the zps, it sags 4-5"
