400ex help..

Default 400ex help..

well my buddy has a 400ex and i am helpngi him with it(since he doesn't know much about it or 4 strokes in general) i was just wondering what size the sicket is for the spark plug and what is the best way to take it out...

Default 400ex help..

Hate to tell you, but you can't get a regular socket on the spark plug. (deep well or spark plug socket) You need to use the factory wrench in the tool kit, or there are some aftermarket wrenches made just for this. Honda didn't leave enough room around the plug to get regular sockets in there.

here's another problem.. he doesn't have that... the guy he bought it from didn't give him that wrench.

Really, that's a bummer to hear cuz I just bought a 400ex, looks like I'll be purchasing one of these soon.

Default 400ex help..

Had to buy the tool from Honda for my toolbox because customers don't bring it in to the shop w/ their machine and I have'nt found anything else that fits in there.
