Default 04 Rubicon Engine Noise

I have an 04 rubicon and lately there is a nasty grinding noise coming from somewhere in the engine or transmission. If I speed up, it goes away. When it's really bad, for example when I'm backing up loading ramp, I have a lack of power and it seems to be slipping. Anyone experienced this? Any info would be appreciated. Thanks,

Sounds like you could have a bad oil pump, take it to a good dealer (If that's possible) and have a pressure test done. How many miles are on your Rubi?

Just a bit over 3000 miles. The good dealer thing is why I'm looking for advice here. Only one dealer within 3 hours and I don't want to get bent over when I go in there, I'd like to know what some of the possibilities are first. Thanks,

your going to need to know the oil pressure that is the easits most acucart. it does sounds like your oil pressure is bad and possibly your HFT transmisson. So flat rate is like 8 to 10 hours, 200 for oil pump, 1400 for HFT, 100 in gaskets. so around 1700 in parts and another 700 to 800 in labor,2400 to 2500. unless it needs a rebuild on top of it all.
