Default oil in air filter box

After cleaning the oil out of the air filter box numerous times in our 03 recon, and convinced it was blowby from the crankcase, I think I have figured it out.The girls have figured out how to ride wheelies by standing on the rear rack and pulling it up, its pretty easy to do ,at the same time it dumps oil into the filter box and also oils up the air filter which then clogs it up. This type of wheelie also rips off the tool box lid and the rear light wire. The recon takes a lickin and keeps on tickin!

I find that all the Hondas that use the design of having the breather in the airbox, will get oil in the airbox even under normal conditions.

yeah, it could also be the oil simply dripping off the air filter. The air filter is a oiled-foam type, and sometimes they get over-oiled and some will drip off at times.
