Default possibly a 250r

i'm thinking about ugrading from a warrior to something faster. i've been looking at 660 or 250r's. i primarily do trail riding so i'm guessing the 660 would be a better buy for that, but i thought i would get some of your opinions on the matter. i know to avoid 2001 raptors but i dont know much about the 250r. is there a particular year to stay away from? also, are they easy to maintain? i dont mind working on a quad, but i dont want to spend more time working on it than i am actually riding it. also, are parts readily available for them? i'm guessing that they are since they are considered one of the greatest quads ever produced. any advice/opinons on the matter would be greatly appreciated.

i havent ridden a 660 but i have to say that from what i've read and just by appearance, i hate how tall and top heavy they are. i know both are gonna be quite a step up from the warrior. i love the warrior and its bullet proof reputation but i dont think that i'm ever gonna be satisfied with it no matter how many mods are done to it.

after 12:1 piston, heavy cam , heavy valves, pipe, airfilter, jet kit, and a few other things, there is too much power for me to even use with the warrior, all i need to do is make it some wider, I love the warrior all you need to do is change the oil ever 20 hours or w.e the engine is so strong.. But hey, if u want a 250r, go ahead their great quads but they do break a lot!

just an opion but if the 250r wasnt cared for and has sat the raptor would be better put a lowering kit on it The R on the other hand is a mean mistreater to others that half to fallow. Some rip hard and the 86 is good to go. swing arm sucks though. my lt in 11 years never replaced bearings in the carrier but never ran enough to wear them out lol , the R likes to eat them in water and sand. but great quad, no power valve like the lt and with a good port job, pipe, and carb she will rip. and out jump most quads yet today

you really can't go wrong with an R. They handle and you can get so much power out of them. I still walk all over the new 450R's, in a straight line and around a track. They're a great machine.
