this may seem like a stupid question,but
what kind of tool do i need to adjust my rear shock on 300ex?where can i find one online?

Unless I am mistaken, the only adjustment on your rear shock is for preload and a simple pair of 12" Channel locks will work just fine. They have done the job on every bike or quad I've ever owned.

you also have to remove your airbox so you can get in there

I removed seat and used an 18" pair of channel locks and carefully guided them down to the rotator. Worked great!!
