Default Venom winch install

I have been installing my Venom winch on a 05 Rubicon today. I got it all put together except for the switch. It has a wire that I have to splice into a key wire or it will not work. Would I be able to plug into the accesory socket without damaging anything? I tried it and it worked but the second time I blew a fuse. Also could I put a 15 amp fuse instead of a 10 amp fuse for the accesory socket?

Default Venom winch install

I just installed one on my 2006 rancher. I spliced the red wire to the large black wire coming off the key switch. Works great!

I am impressed with them. I got it all hooked up and I tested it out. I hooked it up to a John Deere 5500 4wd tractor and the winch pulled the tractor without the bike moving I figured I would have to chain the bike to a tree to keep it from moving. It is a 3000 pound winch. I am very happy with it.
