Default Project 250x

So today I picked up an 88' Honda Fourtrax 250x. It was sitting for 1 year but, after a new spark plug and a shot of eather it fired right up (5th kick). Anyways, it has never been opened up in 18 yrs, although it still runs fine is there anything I should to to keep it runing fine (beside changing the oil and keeping the air filter clean)? So far I plan to add on after market plastics (maier) and also replace the aftermarket cobra exaust (it melted a hole thru the plastic) with stock 300 ex exaust.

Does anyone know where I could find CHEAP OEM PARTS for this bike, besides ebay? Also I was wondering, the current exaust system is melting the plastic so I was wondering if anyone knows of a skinny header pipe and tail pipe that won't interfear with my brand new maier fenders.
