atv for wife

We're talking sport quads here, right????
First choice if she is willing to shift a fully manual hand clutch, a Honda 300EX. Superb little machine. Highly reliable, descent suspension, great handling.
Second choice, Honda 250EX. Great little machine, but not suspended as well as the 300. Shaft drive is nice if you are in the water a lot.
Forget the Recon. It's a great machine too, but it's 50 pounds (a lot of extra weight to a little 140 pound lady) heavier than the 250. (The 250 is based on the Recon anyway.)
Absolutely forget the Warrior (I rode one for years!). It has an ancient motor and it handles heavy. She will enjoy a lighter, smaller quad much better.

I started my wife out on the 250EX and we ride in the dunes in Oregon a lot.
She rode that for 3 years and just this last February I bought her a 400EX.
The additional power is better suited for the dunes.

My wife wanted an automatic, but I tought her how to ride a 300ex, and now she wont ride anything that doesnt have a clutch. She loves her 300...but we are selling it sadly...

I recently bought my wife the new automatic 350 wolverine and she really enjoys it. It looks sporty enough but it also has full floorboards that keep her clean on muddy days. The power is just right for it and I'd rather be on it on the trails than my grizz thanks to it's lightweight feel. You can ride forever on a tank of gas also.. If it had more power then I would want one for my self. You don't have to have the baddest atv to have alot of fun. Hope this helps.
