I was wondering when you call yourself stuck. Is it when you turn the key off and say "Oh crap",or when you get your buddies and start pushing. Or when you cant get out with 4 guys and you have to pull it out with the help of another ATV or winch.

I gess im the later.

I you wondered how I got my name, I used to own a Suzuki Quadrunner. I was stuck all the time, and had to call my buddies, and they pulled me out with their 300s. Now I own a 300 and have never called them back. I now have the priviledge to be able to ride with them.

I'd say stuck is when you can't get out under your own power, and have to get someone to help. If you have to get out and push yourself, it's still not stuck, it's just 'slowed down', hehe.

I usally give up when no amount or rocking and pushing will get it out and you have to get another bike to pull you out.

My deffintitions of stuck...

stuck - have to jump off and push it out

really stuck- have to dig it out

really really stuck- have to get pulled out

royaly screwed - no amount of digging or pulling will ever get it out and you'll just have to wait till spring when the snow melts to get your quad back.

I have changed my mind. I say when you can't get out on your own power, then you are stuck. When you can't get out with the help of three other 4x4s, then it is time to get the skidsteer and dig it out.

I put tire chain on all four wheels on my TRX 300 4x4, and boy does that make a diference in the snow. I could go about anywhere. But i got into a little mud and dug myself a nice hole that i couldn't get out of. My friend had a heck of a time pulling it out with his Foreman 400.
