I'm almost thinking of getting one and I need you guys to talk me out of it plus there's hardly anywhere to ride around here.
what could have impressed you that much at a safety course?

Yes. They are PaddleMasters. Bought them 2 years ago when we went to Little Sahara, Utah. Only brand I could find at the time that made paddles. They are heavy and work jus fine but would like to have some lighter ones. I understand they are good in mud also, but I have Goodyear Mud Runners I use most of the time on trails, etc. I have added a couple more pictures of the paddles.

I can't say I ever had any bad experiences with belt drives, but I will tell you they can be noisy and will eventually slip from time to time. I have owned a Polaris 350, Scrambler 400 and 500 and a Grizz. I have had much ride time with belts. Honda does make some of the smoothest tranny's out there though. I really like my Rubicon but do miss the power. I know some day I probably will go back to a belt drive and get a high horse bad a$$ quad. I just had to get a quad more reliable than my Grizz, the broken axle's killed my bank account.
