Default 06 Foreman Manual Shift

I believe I read this before but has anyone else had problems going from 1st gear to 2nd? shifts real hard. All other gears are fine. If so, will it get easier as I break in, only have 18 miles on it...thanks...

Mine was stiff when it was new, especially the 1st time through the gears after a cold start.

It seems much better now, which I would attribute to it breaking in. I did switch to synthetic on like the 3rd oil change, though. You might also want to make sure the clutch adjustment is correct.

This is common place on all the Honda 500 models. Even the ES version...you can sense a bit more juice being pulled from the shift motor for that 2nd shift. But almost always, this goes away by the time you go through the frist and second tanks of fuel.

If you search this you will see that it is common...goes away after a few miles.
