Intake is clean. I purposely flooded the cylinder with a couple ounces of gas and it blew back out the intake after a few pulls. I don't have the carb on it now, but it should start with fuel in the cylinder anyway right?

 

Yes, it SHOULD start if you pour fuel directly into the cylinder. I would put everything back on, like the carb, and try and pull start the quad.

 

I'll try it tonight behind my truck, let ya know what happens. I'm assuming my only other option is timing.

 

Either that or your valves may be way out of adjustment. Let me know what happens after you try and pull start it. i will try and think of any other reasons why it wouldn't want to start.

Just put the tank and carb back on and towed it behind my truck, no go. Nothing, all I could hear was the engine turning over.

Ok, I bought this for my wife to ride. I've always ridden and wrenched on 2 strokes so I know nothing about valves. How do I check/adjust them?

 

You need feeler guages, and some basic tools. i don't know about that quad, but i think it should have seperate valve cover that you can remove to check the distance bewteen the vavle and rocker arm(i think) the motor needs to be at TDC to check the valves. you might need to buy a manual to know what the specs are suppose to be.
