cr500 vs r6
#2
I ride and race a CR500, and I haven't lost a drag to any bike/quad yet in the dirt. You gotta think, 60 plus hp in a frame less then 250 lbs is some serious power. I recently took a modded banshee in a drag with ease. As far as the 1/4, any 600 sportbike would win. The CR has the power to keep it close in the 1/8, but it's tapped out long before the 1/4 mark. The biggest problem is getting traction, this bike will easily wheelie in 5th by rolling on the throttle. A fellow rider took his to the drags with street tires from a junk bike and ran a 12.1 on a stock CR500.

Awesome link, drum rear brake leads me to think thats older than a 89' as I had a 90'CR500R during my sophmore year in high school, i dug trenches around my friends, something to remember is my friends catching up after I come to a stop with so much roost in there lap its level with the top of there legs! They were not happy with me after my 3rd gear launch,
but then wrecked bad and my toe was touching my knee and I have been rideing a rubicon ever since
